Lisa Evans - CEO
Lisa became Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of St John of God Accord (Accord) in June 2019. She has over 25 years of extensive experience in the Public, Private and Corporate Sectors. Lisa has proven alignment to St John of God Health Care’s Mission and Values, administering Excellence, Compassion, Justice, Respect and Hospitality throughout her career.
Lisa as acting CEO and a Senior Health Executive successfully oversaw a comprehensive redevelopment and relocation of clinical services to the new purpose-built St John of God Berwick hospital in January 2018. Innovative in her thinking, she was forefront in retaining caregivers and increased caregiver satisfaction thus providing excellent patient care.
Lisa demonstrates charismatic leadership with vision, empathy, and empowerment. Recognising compassion as a powerful force in leadership, Lisa has a person-centred approach to running Accord and it’s where she excels. Promoting a positive working environment, she is passionate about family engagement and has deep knowledge of the disability sector and the NDIS.
Lisa is confidently leading Accord through the next phase to be the ‘Best Performing Disability Organisation in Australia by 2025’ surrounded by her experienced Accord Executive Team.
Lisa holds a Bachelor of Nursing from Deakin University, a Graduate Diploma in Health Science, Monash University and is an Accredited Nurse Immuniser.
Silvana Gugliandolo, Director of Group, Individual and Specialist Services
Silvana has been Director of Service Delivery since March 2012 and has more than 25 years’ experience in the disability sector. Silvana played a pivotal role as acting Chief Executive Officer in the initial transitioning of Marillac Ltd Services to St John of God Accord in 2017 - a major achievement, implementing cultural alignment. Silvana also significantly contributed to the rollout of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Silvana has worked at Accord since 1992 and has expertise in service delivery including accommodation, individualist support, day services, employment services, training, and development. She established the Specialist Services team, including positive behaviour support. Silvana previously worked for DHHS and was involved in the de-institutionalisation of many people into group homes in the community.
Silvana has a Degree in Psychology, Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Catholic Culture from ACU, Certificate of Intellectual Disability Nursing and a Cert IV in Training and Development.
Margaret Gibson, Director of Accommodation, Respite, and Infrastructure
Margaret is Director of Accommodation, Respite, and Infrastructure since July 2018. Previously Margaret held the role of Regional Manager in August 2017. In this role, Margaret oversees all areas business for St John of God Accord in the all metropolitan regions of Melbourne, including managing and implemented services, working with clients and their families, partnering with other organisations and government agencies, and developing and maintaining policies and procedures.
Margaret has worked for Accord for the past 15 years. Previously, Margaret worked for the Department of Human Services for 20 years and her formal qualifications include MRN 1985 and an Advanced Diploma in Business Management 2006.
Her extensive experience of the disability sector has brought a wealth of knowledge to Accord and guided how we moved forward as an organisation within the NDIS.
Neal Murphy, Director of Mission Integration
Neal's role as Director of Mission Integration Community Services commenced July 1, 2019. Prior Neal was working in this role as Group Manager Social Justice Advocacy since November 2013.
Given his passion for advocacy and the vulnerable, Neal is ideally suited to Disability and Social Outreach Services provided by Community Services. Prior to this Neal worked at Accord for 10 years in leadership roles which included Management of Day Services and Accord’s Director of Mission up until 2014. Neal holds undergraduate studies in Systematic Theology, a Master’s in social sciences majoring in Pastoral Counselling, a Master’s in Business Administration and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Scott Wilkinson, Director of Finance
Scott became Chief Finance Officer (CFO) of St John of God Accord in May 2019. Scott has over 23 years of extensive experience in public accounting practice (Australia and UK) and the private health care sector. Scott has worked in various roles with St John of God Health Care since 2004, consistently demonstrating the organisation’s Mission and Values.
Scott has worked in a variety of senior management roles, including Treasury, Project Management, Finance and General Manager, using his skills to drive performance improvement and financial outcomes.
Scott comes to Accord with a passion to deliver our strategy for Accord to be the ‘Best Performing Disability Organisation in Australia by 2025’
Scott is a Chartered Accountant, holding a Bachelor of Commerce from Curtin University, and a Graduate Diploma in Leadership in Catholic Culture from Australian Catholic University.
Peter Newsome, Director of Business Development and Employment Services
Peter was appointed to the role of Director of Business Development and Employment Services in July 2020 and before this in the role of Director of Customer Relations and Marketing. Peter was previously on the Executive Committee in a leadership role. Peter has held leadership roles since 2007 and highly respected and well regarded within the disability sector.
Peter was appointed to Housing and Support National Committee of the National Disability Services (NDS), the peak body for non-government disability services.
Peter successfully led the implementation project of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) roll out at SJG Accord to ensure we are well positioned and ready to meet the needs of our clients, their families and carers. More recently a key role in new service design and acquisitions that have resulted in new growth for SJG Accord. He is currently undertaking study to complete a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and he really thrives being active and finds study breads new ideas so this will see him will forever seeking learning opportunities.
Leslie Quill, Executive Assistant
Leslie is a highly competent Executive Assistant supporting the Accord Executive Committee (AEC) at Accord. Leslie supports an experienced and professional executive team in a fast-paced environment, with dedication and accuracy, exercising intuitive judgements whilst managing her administrative portfolio.
Joining St John of God Accord in May 2007, after working in the public and private sectors for 35 years, she has supported a diverse group of executive and management teams. Leslie has excellent organisational skills, people management and administrative knowledge along with information systems expertise.
